El Pavoni & The Moonshine Tones is the first solo project of Portuguese musician Ruben EL Pavoni, stepping into the spotlight as a frontman after years of experience as a professional bass player and upright bass player.

Throughout his career, Ruben has built his musical identity around Blues and Rockabilly. As a bass player, he has performed alongside renowned artists such as Glenn Kaiser, John Németh and Alvon Johnson, and appeared at festivals across Europe and the United States, including Viva Las Vegas.

Formed in 2018, El Pavoni & The Moonshine Tones released their debut vinyl EP, Moonshine Train, in 2019 through Spanish label Sleazy Records. The 7-inch, 33 RPM record features four original tracks: Venos Blues, Sweet Green Eyes, Moonshine Train and Run to Run.

The band’s sound explores different shades of Blues, ranging from traditional Blues to Rhythm & Blues and Blues Rock, combining expressive harmonica, guitars, drums, Hammond organ and electric bass.
